My indulgence is buying/reading books!!!

I indulge doing what every beauty junkie does and that’s going from Sephora to Sephora, hitting up at least 5 stores in the Manhattan area in the course of a day. I spend hours applying and reapplying the newly released products from all the different brands and by the end of the day, as I’m on my way home, I get all these weird stares from people because as hard as I try, many of the waterproof eyeliners are very difficult to remove and my face looks like a rainbow of colors in all the wrong places. However, this really relaxes me so I don’t really care if they think I’m a nut. It’s also a great way to keep people away from you, which is something I appreciate when I’m in a stressed mood. Also, both hands have lines of colors from eyeliners that I’ve tested on them and being waterproof, most of the liners don’t come off my hands for days even with heavy washing. So I have striped hands, which always raises a few eyebrows, for a few days. At least I always get my own seat on the subway and bus because nobody wants to sit near me for fear of catching some sort of “tropical” disease! I also have to say that although I’m not a coffee drinker anymore because it makes me bounce off the walls, my friend has this exact Keurig coffee maker and when I had a cup of decaf, it was THE best coffee I have ever had. It was delicious, no clean up and there are so many choices of flavors that are all equally delicious. I wish I had noticed the code before the deadline ran out because I would have purchased, for sure, one of these babies. Drinking a cup of java from this machine is like nothing you’ve ever had before. I don’t know how they make it so delicious, but it must be the little lepruchun in the machine who blesses each cup (that was a joke). Everyone should get this coffee machine. You will NOT regret it. I like to indulge by going out to eat breakfast on the weekend. A special splurge might be French toast with fruit & whipped cream and a side of bacon, or a waffle…. And pouring from an endless pot of coffee – with cream. Yum!

I indulge with bi-weekly manicures. I will be a cheapskate on everything else, stretch out my hair trims, do my pedicures at home, skip out buying products until they’re on sale but I don’t skip the manicures!

My indulgence would have to be a mani/pedi while having a chocolate shake:)

Getting to do my nails while watching my “guilty pleasure” shows (Toddlers & Tiaras, Real Housewives of anywhere) & sipping some french press coffee or a glass of wine. Either before a long day or at the end of one, taking an hour to do those things almost always ensures I won’t unnecessarily snap someone’s head off

I indulge by watching my favourite tv shows multiple episodes at a time while painting my nails.

I indulge in a nice steamy tub of bubbles from LUSH bubblebars! I stay soaking until I’m an absolute prune lol!

Painting my nails while watching RuPaul’s Drag Race! It’s like Project Runway with drag queens – my ultimate guilty pleasure.

Lately I’ve been indulging in wine!

My favorite indulgence is a bit of good dark chocolate or going for a pedicure. If time is short, I do my own pedicure at home but take the time to soak my feet, exfoliate, moisturize & then paint! Another favorite indulgence it to browse the beauty counters at Nordstrom or Sephora! A beauty treat usually comes home with me!
