This fall, Urban Decay has me taking a trip down memory lane, with their brand-spanking-new Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Colors. One part ultra-pigmented lipstick, and one part shining lipgloss, these pencils remind me of my beloved oil pastels from Elementary Arts and Crafts.
As a kid, I always gravitated towards the oil pastels, to the point where I started hoarding packs of them. Maybe it was in their glide, their shine, or their colorful pops, but nothing made me happier than doodling on construction paper with an eight pack of oil pastels. Them were the days.
This brings me to Urban’s newest lip pencils. Just like the oil pastels, each chubby stick imparts a glossy, creamy, super-saturated lip color that begs to be noticed. Blotted on the lips, these provide a very soft tint, but applied full-on, these yield a lip look that absolutely demands attention.
My love for these lip pencils was instantaneous, as soon as I realized that not only do they provide rich, pigmented, long-wearing color, but also comfort, moisture, and endless compliments. I’ve been wearing these nonstop this summer, and I don’t think I ever want to look back on my existence without them.
Here is fall’s brilliant, luscious lip palette, bursting at the seams with color (glorious color!). Tell me that you don’t want to play with all them.
Adrenaline
Big Bang
Crush
FBomb
Punch Drunk
These pencils wear beautifully on me for around six hours, at the very least. The pencil’s form holds well, and allow for precise application, which is of course crucial for bright lip applications. Once the tip wears down, Urban Decay’s Grind House Sharpener gets them back into shape in no time flat (quick tip- refrigerate your pencil before you sharpen, to ensure the crispest point possible).

This Fall, Urban takes me back to Arts and Crafts, and my beloved Oil Pastels with their High Gloss Lip Colors. These Urban Decay Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color are currently available, exclusively at Sephora.

These looks amazing!
Nora, they so are. Creamy rich color, that wears like a dream!
I picked up F-bomb last week. I am loving it! I can’t wait to buy more of these. I think the only one I didn’t like was Punch Drunk. My skin has yellow undertones and it just didn’t look good with how bright the orange is. F-bomb was my first choice since it is a classic red and doesn’t make my teeth look yellow (I like caffeine and it shows). Your review has reminded me how much I want to buy more of these though <3
Sharon, I absolutely love how these perform. We need more colors!
