It’s time for our weekly fitness update. As per usual, my thoughts on/of the week.
My name is Adina, and I have an Under Armour Addiction.
Have you ever found yourself latching on to a particular item, whether it be a brand, a clothing type, or even a song? That has been my deal recently, in my obsessive (and slightly greedy) purchasing of everything Pink and Purple in the Under Armour women’s range. What started as a modest purchase of 2 tees and one pair of capris has since exploded into virtual shopping trips that have left me with a collection ten times that size, and growing. Next on my list is a UA bag, and some warmer out of the gym gear. Yes, I am a bit obsessed.
The Polar T60 Heart Rate Monitor really is all that
I mentioned last week that I purchased a heart rate monitor, and after promptly testing it in the later half of this week, I must say that I am a believe. Not only does this monitor tell me what my heart rate is at all times, it also gives me an accurate calories burned read (the elliptical was lying to me!), and tells me which zones I need to be working out in for maximum impact. I’m still learning all of the features, but so far I am loving everything about Polar’s T60. P.S It is purple, which makes the whole thing that much cooler.
Switching it up means I’ll never get bored, and always feel the burn.
One thing I’ve noticed is that any time a personal trainer at the gym takes a notice in me (making a recommendation, showing me an exercise, or even offering up a comped session), the result is a good kind of sore that lasts for days and days. If there is one thing I’ve noticed, it’s that switching up what I do to tone on a weekly basis speeds up the results that much more. My body feels it, and that’s a great thing.
This weekend was pretty low key, with Saturday spent working on the blog, and Sunday spent at a very special breakfast, and then an afternoon stroll/shopping trip on Sunday.
I do have a piece of news to share. This past week, Krasey done did got her driver’s license. I know what you’re thinking, and yes, I am a bit tardy to the party. In my defense though, I do live in NYC, land of readily accessible public transportation. Anywho, I passed, and I’m elated. This might call for several shopping trips!
How was your weekend?
