My fellow New Yorkers, allow me to introduce you to a not so hidden gem, as fair as hair styling houses are concerned. Blow Dry Bar is a one stop shop for getting pretty in the city, on the quick and easy. Offering up everything from pristine blowouts, to skillful manicures, it really is no wonder Blow is a NYC beauty hotspot.
I was recently invited for a Blow experience, receiving an epic blowout at the skilled hands of Blow stylist Greg Patterson. As soon as I told hair genius Greg that I wanted Barbie doll hair, he knew exactly what to do.
Next, it was on to a beauty refresher with visiting makeup artist, Neil from Jouer Cosmetics. As soon as I told him he could have his way with my face, Neil painted, buffed, and polished my face into summery, dewy perfection. Among the list of products he used on me were Jouer’s best-selling Luminizing Moisture Tint (or dewy skin love in a tube, as I called it), Suntan Bronzer (instant radiance), and Monique Hydrating Lipstick (nude lip loving). Suffic it to say that the products felt wonderful, performed beautifully, and lasted through the 100 degree temperatures that NYC saw that day. Call me smitten, kitten.
Some hour and a half later, I was a decidedly more glammed up version of my usual self. In practically no time at all, Greg and Neil had me go from plain Jane to bombshell Betty, and I liked it!
New Yorkers, Blow Dry Bar is a must-visit for those looking for the most pristine, polished, customizable blow-outs. Jouer Cosmetics also happens to be the brand to check out for glowing, fabulously flawless beauty products, and is available locally at Henri Bendel. Those not in NY who are looking to partake in both products from Blow, and Jouer, can do so by visiting each brand’s website, naturally.
