Palladium – a naturally white precious metal belonging to the platinum family that maintains its beautiful color and shape over time. It is light and strong making it an excellent choice for fine jewelry.
The Palladium Project – A collaborative effort between myself, two delightful F.I.T (Fashion Institute of Technology) students- Dan and Marina, and the Palladium council, to create a stunning piece of jewelry from Palladium.
Most of you may recall me discussing a certain Palladium Project late last year. Well beauties, I am happy to announce that our design has finally come to fruition! Witness, a gorgeous two-fingered flower ring, made solely from Palladium. The inspiration? That peacock ring that you see above. I wanted a ring that was both trendy and timeless, modern, yet simple in its feminine touches. Fortunately, that is exactly what I got.
I also had the opportunity to see some of the new Palladium pieces from Vivienne Westwood’s Get a Life Collection. In a word, stunning!
I am so incredibly elated with the outcome of this very special project. I’d love to hear all of your thoughts on the piece, in the comments!
Once again, a very special thanks to both the students, and to the Palladium Council, for making this beautiful ring possible!
