I know that we are still in the throes of a very cold, very cruel winter (Snowpocalypse, anyone?), but bear with me here. As the first blossoms of spring will inevitably poke their way through the still frosty ground, so too will spring makeup collections pop up like a breath of fresh air.

First up is the Smashbox Bloom collection, a pretty, perfect, lighter-than-air collection filled with textures and shades that are everything you could ever want or need for a season that starts off rough, dark, and more than a little bit hard, and ends with blooms, sunshine, and all kinds of other happy things.

I am a HUGE fan of the Smashbox Artificial Lights, and clearly, this collection is giving this addict what she craves, Artificial Light in a powdered form.

Further going along with the eye powder theme, the Soft Focus Powder Eye Liner eschews harsh lines of black in favor of softer heather and dark brown. The applicator’s sponge tip deposits the perfect amount of soft, powdery color.

Last, but most certainly not least, the In Bloom eye shadow palette houses each and every soft, silky, pleasantly pigmented eye shadow shade you could think of. This is the perfect palette to take you from play date to night on the town.
