Beauties, I have a confession to make; I am a closet QVC beauty junkie. That’s right, despite living in one of the most shopping-oriented cities in the world, I still turn to a home shopping channel to get my beauty fix. Even better, when I don’t shop I still watch, glued to my tv as the fabulous hosts and their guests gush over all of the latest and greatest products.
QVC has led me to discover many amazing brands. Brands that are ever-present in Sephora, and brands that I might have glossed over on my weekly treks to the department stores. Not to mention that watching the talented brand artists has taught me a thing or two as far as makeup applications is concerned. I can ultimately thank QVC for cluing me in on the amazing offerings from the likes of Mally Beauty, Smashbox, Bare Escentuals, and Philosophy.
So, why the confession now? Well, a couple of weeks ago I had the AMAZING opportunity to peruse all of QVC’s latest and greatest beauty offerings, all in one lovely little spot. Not only that, but I also has the opportunity to meet the wonderful minds and faces behind some of my favorite brands. At this open house, I learned about many a wonderful QVC-exclusive beauty offering, and now, I am going to share it with all of you.
Right off the bat, I got the party started right. I met Leslie Blodgett, the creator of Bare Escentuals. Leslie and I chatted about everything from the quest for a flawless face, to the new skincare line. In case you haven’t gotten the memo yet, they have a FANTASTIC product duo launching on the 21st of April called the Beautifully Bronzed Deluxe Two-Piece Collection. What you get is a ginormous (that’s big, folks) bottle of the deliciously moisturizing self tanner, and a nifty brush to apply it all!
I also met the gorgeous Poppy King, of Lipstick Queen fame. After I got over how amazing she looked in her chic retro number, we proceeded to discuss the fantastic lip product line that I already know and love.
To say that I got a bit ferklempt when I spotted the flawless Holly Mordini of Smashbox is a vast understatement. Holly and Smashbox have always had a special place in my heart, and I recall watching and learning from her as far back as my late teens. Bright, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable, Holly felt like a kindred spirit. Oh, and can we also discuss how stunning she is?! Holly showed me some of the newest Smashbox QVC exclusives, and I am already in love. Stay tuned for a Smashbox TSV, coming soon.
Mally Roncal of Mally Beauty is an absolute doll, but I knew that already. I have had the incredible pleasure of her company on several occasions, with each one being more special. Mally is like your energetic best friend, warm and caring, with a personality that is so big and bright that you just can’t help but adore her. Her products deserve a place in any self respecting beauty lover’s repertoire, for they are not only genius, but boast the most amazing packaging. Kindness is the new black is Mally’s new slogan, and I am kind of in love with it.
I met Chaz Dean of Wen Haircare, and let me tell you that I am incredibly excited to try his innovative haircare line. My strands have been looking rather lifeless lately, and I can use all of the help I can get.
Other wonderful brands present included Laura Geller Beauty, GoSmile, Dr Dennis Gross Skincare, Peter Thomas Roth Skincare, Bliss, Temptu, Tarte, Living Proof, Kate Somerville, Philosophy Beauty and Skincare, and Perricone Skincare, all of which I will be discussing here sometime in the very near future. So who else out there is obsessed with QVC beauty? Has the shopping channel led you to cosmetic love?
