When it comes to drugstore beauty, I have been on a bit of a roll lately. Some of my favorite fellow beauty bloggers have extolled the virtues of certain drugstore brands, causing me to perk up and pay attention. This time around, I am exploring Milani, a brand that I have somehow missed during my weekly trips to Duane Reade. Won’t you join me on another drugstore beauty exploration?
Runway Eyes is a nifty palette of shadow strips, set in complimentary shades. The shadows themselves are pretty pigmented; though I do wish the strips of shadow were a bit wider. Taking a brush to them can be a bit awkward.
Designer Browns is a fairly neutral palette, with six shades running the range from taupe to milk chocolate.
Haute Couture definitely sings my tune, with six shades of bright shadow. I am crushing on this color combination, hard.
Infinite Liquid Liner is your standard issue, waterproof liquid liner. Endless is a gorgeous shade of bright purple (purple!)
Metallic Baked Shadows are exactly what they sound like, baked pans of pressed mineral shadow.
Blue My Mind is a rich cobalt shade.
Purrfect Purple is a metallic, midtoned purple
Teal the Truth is a rich teal
Marbleized Baked Shadow is exactly the same as the metallic shadows, save for the finish (which is more satin), and the fact that other lighter shades are thrown into the mix for a swirled effect.
Mix It Up is a mixture of silver, black, and teal
Drench in Gold is a mixture of gold and bronze
Having had a chance to play with this line, I must say that I find myself rather pleased with the outcome. With some solid beauty gems, Milani certainly shines. Look for these offerings, and many more, at your local Drugstore.
