When it comes to beauty, I am a firm believer in the ‘speak with your eyes’ makeup application technique. Specifically, if there is one feature that you choose to play up when you paint that visage of yours, the eyelids are prime makeup real estate. The eyes are the windows to one’s soul, and should be adorned as such.
Tyra says, smile with your eyes.
Philosophy, also known as the brand that takes up the most real estate in my collection of shower sudsers, is clearly on board with my makeup theory. They have recently launched the Windows to the Soul eye shadow palette collection, designed to define, enhance, and ornament your peepers with rich, silky, pressed powder pigment.
Of the three shade varieties offered, Smoke and Mirrors seems to be the most dramatic, the most seductive, and naturally, the one that might be the most up my alley. All four shades compliment beautifully, are universally flattering, and offer up just the right amount of pigment and textures to create a great number of eye looks in both smoky and ‘smoky lite’ incarnations.
For the eye shadow beginner, Philosophy has a handy dandy guide in the film over the shadows, which tells you exactly where to apply the shades. It’s a pretty neat little extra, and pretty nifty if I do say so myself.
Offering up eye adornment, in a neat little package to boot, Philosophy’s Windows to the Soul Eye Palette is perfectly pleasing. Look for it online, or at your nearest Sephora.
