Backstage Beauty Recap and Trend Talking- Makeup
Over the course of Autumn Winter 2011 fashion week, we saw everything from barely there to full out colorful makeup on the faces of the models that do their thing on the catwalk. With next season’s fashion week being over and done with, let’s recap some of the looks we saw, and the trends they may predict for this winter.
The strong, smoky eye
Always a classic, the smoky eye serves to place all eyes on you. Done in varying shades of black, grey, and brown, the smoky eye is a versatile favorite.
The bold lip
Every fall, we see the emergence of vamped up lips. This fall will be no exception, if these shows are any indication.
Earthy and natural
Some shows showed us that it doesn’t take much to look gorgeous, and we like it. Done in shades of green and bronze, models got the natural treatment.
The bold, colorful eye.
Always a personal favorite, bold eye makeup can definitely make a statement. From daring to colorful, these shows demonstrated that it can be fun to take chances with your eye makeup.
