I must confess, going backstage at Adrienne Vittadini was a bit surreal for me. You see, the presentation was to be modeled by those iconic faces of the 80′s and 90′s, the iconic Supermodels of yesteryear. Amidst the hair, nail, and makeup teams, sat icons such as Niki Taylor, Frederique, Carol Alt, Roshumba, Carmen, and others. The beauty look was as iconic as the gorgeous faces, naturally.
The makeup team, led by Michael Pierce for Hourglass Cosmetics, created iconic looks meant to emphasize the model’s natural beauty. Used on the models were Hourglass favorites such as Illusion Tinted Moisturizer, Aura Cheek Stain, and newcomers to the line: Lash Lacquer and Script Eyeliner.
The hair team, led by Tippy Shorter for Avon created customized hair looks for each modern muse, from sleek to voluminous. The emphasis was on shiny, healthy, gorgeous hair, no matter what the style was.

They are still incredibly gorgeous women….at ANY age!! So why don’t we see more of them? I for one, would love to see them in magazines and catalogs that are geared toward my demographic (40+…I’ll leave you guessing!).
