Question: What’s a great way to start 2011?
Answer: New products from a familiar favorite, MAC Cosmetics; more specifically, the Peacocky Collection.
Starting the year off right, MAC’s Peacocky Collection brings the addicted new formulations of products that are destined for greatness; at least as far as this beauty addict is concerned. Mega Metals and Kissable Lip Colours are a whole lot of love, you can trust me on that.
As a quick aside, is it me or is the name Peacocky a bit of misnomer as far as collection titles are concerned? When I first heard the name, I was thinking rich turquoise and purple shades. Anywho, on to the products!
First we have the Mega Metal shadows, a brand new eye shadow formulation that I first saw backstage at New York Fashion Week Spring 2011. An ultrafine milled pressed powder, Mega Metals swatch like a cream, and wear like a cream, though they are truly all powder. The shades pack plenty of shine, long wear, and a deliciously silky blend factor that makes application a dream. Did I mention there are fifteen (fifteen!) shades to love and adore?

Next up, let’s discuss the Kissable Lip Colours, a lipstick/lipgloss hybrid that packs lots of shine, lots of pigment, and a deliciously kissable wear time of 4-6 hours, on me at least.
