If there is one thing I love in life, that would be a great lipstick. None of that namby pamby sheer color stuff, I am talking full, opaque, rich, COLOR. On that note, here are a few recent discoveries that are hitting all of the right now. Both are new additions to some of my own well-loved brands, and both rock the proverbial house.
NARS Pure Matte lipstick pays homage to the classic matte lip, with an updated feel and finish that wears long, and wears comfortably on my lips for hours upon hours. Since I tend to have the inclination towards rocking a nude lip on the regular, it was two neutral shades that I went with on testing.
Tonkin is a rosy mauve, and the perfect shade for daily office wear
Tashkent is a peachy beige, and the first shade I would think of when confronted with the concept of a nude lip.

NARS Pure Matte lipsticks are available anywhere NARS cosmetics are sold.
Rouge Prodige is another new addition, but to the Clarins cosmetic line. A hydrating, long wearing, opaque, glossy cream lipstick, these wear like a lipstick, but moisturize and gleam like a gloss.
117, otherwise known as Sunset, is a coral that runs heavy on the orange. To me, this is one of those quintessential summer shades, that goes perfectly with your sundress and shades.
118, or Clementine, is significantly redder than Sunset, making it a great warm shade to rock come fall.

Clarins Rouge Prodige is available at your local Clarins counter, and makes a great addition to an already impressive skincare and makeup line.

Hi Adina!
Fist of all i’d like to say thank you for swatches, thare isn’t a lot of Nars lipstick’s swatches on internet!
You have MUFE Rouge Artist #22 Nude. And can you tell how it is comparable to Tashkent from Nars?
Thank you,
Victoria
Victoria, I am so thrilled to hear you say that. I try to bring as many swatches as possible to the site.
Great question! 22 is a very pale, almost peachy nude, whereas Tashkent has a lot more warmth and orange tones. Also, as Tashkent is matte, it will be a lot dryer, with no shine. Both have the same amount of pigment. Hope that helps!
Thank you Adina! You’ve helped me a lot!
You know i have MUFE 22 and i adore it, i also like Illamasqua Sonnet. But since Tashkent came out i cant stop thinking of this lipstick, want to buy it. But i am afraid that it will too orangy for me (i live in Russia and i don’t have an opportunity to try it in real life)!
