Mousketeer, Pop Music Powerhouse, Actress, and now, Fragrance muse. Christina Aguilera has evolved before our very eyes, from the shy teen with a powerful voice, to the bold, buxom diva that she is today. Embodying her current image perfectly, her new film Burlesque
Timed perfectly with the release of her newest film Burlesque is the launch of two brand new scents, named for the petite powerhouse. Both are sweet and feminine, with just the right amount of sexiness thrown in for good measure.
Christina Aguilera EDP is a fruity burst of sorbet and blackcurrant tea, with a heart of peony, jasmine, musk, and vanilla. Christina Aguilera is a fruity floral that is light, sweet, and meant to be worn during the day, when one wouldn’t want a very powerful scent that overwhelms you. The scent is rather soft and feminine, with just the slightest hint of sensuality afforded by soft musk and vanilla
Christina Aguilera By Night is of a fruitier persuasion, a sexed-up version of the original. Leaning slightly more to the Oriental influence, By Night is musky, thanks to notes of vanilla flower and amber. It is more sensual and more powerful than the original, and boasts peach, may blossom, tangerine, and red apple as its dominant notes. This is the shade to spray when going out on the town, bold makeup and clothing, with a bold scent to match.
The bottles are worthy of their own discussion, as they are downright sexy. Both are petite, slender hourglasses, much like our muse. The original version’s bottle is clear, and adorned with a sexy black lace finish. By Night is equally sexy, and slightly mysterious. By Night is all done up in shades of black fading to crimson, with small black flowers on a vine creeping up the front. Both make rather attractive armoire pieces, if I do say so myself.
Christina Aguilera’s newest fragrances are currently available, exclusively at Kohls. Sweet, ultra-feminine embodiments of one of my favorite divas turned starlet, both scents inspire a whole lot of love.
