With fashion week close-at-hand, I am on a mission to simplify, beautify and fashion-ify my technological world. You see, being in the company of some of the most fashion-forward people I know (and some that I don’t know), I need to equip my bag with items as sleek and stylish as they are useful. To be quite frank, I am looking for gadgets that are not only at the height of technological sophistication and advancement, but are also at the height of style. Here is the first of my findings.

When it comes to fashion week, very high on the list of needs is a technological device that will enable me to capture the spirit of fashion week in both picture, and sound. The device needs to be extremely portable, easy to use, non-intrusive, and built of tough stuff. Said device would also get bonus points for being chic and/or adorable. Happily, DXG’s miniature luxe camcorder fits the bill.

The DXG luxe is an HD camcorder in miniature, capturing HD video at 720p quality, and taking still shots at an impressive 8MP. Unlike other miniature camcorders that I have come in contact with (Flip, I am looking at you!), the DXG luxe has a side screen that flips out, making it so that you don’t have to hold the cam at odd angles while filming.

The camera feels both sturdy and solid as I hold it in my hands, the padded side strap ensuring that I can comfortably grip the camera during filming, which minimizes camera shake. Filming is as easy as flipping the camera screen open, and pressing record. Not to be discounted, this quilted pastel pink model is just plain adorable too!

The DXG luxe camcorder is a chic, high-tech, and very welcomed addition to my fashion week reporting arsenal. It is also available in a number of styles on the DXG website.
