“No one mourns the Wicked!”
-The simple townfolk of OZ
Sure, the term wicked has gained a bad rap over the years, but surely we have learned that there is nothing wrong with indulging in our more daring, more dramatic, slightly mischievous sides every once in a while, right? Elphy did it, and then she defied gravity!
Well Elphaba shouldn’t have all of the fun, right? Thanks to those fabulously mischievous polish fairies, the wicked comes to us via six new nail lacquer shades. Conjuring up images of mischievous sprites, disco dancers, and delightfully daring females, Zoya’s Wicked collection for Fall has us all squealing with delight as we embrace (and wear) the Wicked.
Cheryl is a rich, blackened burgundy with red sparkle.
Karina- One of the three reds in this collection, Karina stands out as deep, incredibly sparkly, rich, intense, true red. Kind of a related fun fact, my best friend’s brother dated this polish’s namesake, Karina of Dancing with the Stars fame.
Carrie Ann is Karina’s softer sister. Also a true red, this shade takes on a slight cool cast in certain lighting.
Kym is the quintessential fall shade of red, and reminds me of a juicy Macintosh apple, only sparklier.
Edyta- Now I am not one given to fits of giddiness over nail polish (who am I kidding, yes I am), but Edyta has me brimming with joy. This olive green has an intense golden cast that occasionally flashes bronze. LOVE
Julieanne- Being that I am hopelessly devoted to purple, it is only inevitable that Julieanne be love at first swatch. It doesn’t disappoint, as this intense royal purple has a stunning red/pink sparkle to it that sets my heart aflutter.
All six shades in this collection wear like a dream, with zero problems on application. Now, it all makes sense. No one mourns the Wicked, because they are too busy wearing it! These are all named after women from Dancing with the Stars.
Rebecca, good point! Do you think the shades match the names?
Thanks for posting this! I love nail polish, and especially when the seasons start to change, I can’t wait to grab the hottest colors. I’ve heard that gray and deep red are going to be hot this fall!
Sophia, you are very welcome.
