Readers, beauty-lovers, and makeup heads- you didn’t think I could go too long without making mention of a few choice mineralized releases, did you? What’s old is now new again, as M∙A∙C Cosmetics has just re-released four mineralized skin finish powders that have already captured the hearts of millions during their short introductions in past collections. It is time for a bit of show and tell, M∙A∙C In The Groove style.
Petticoat Mineralized Skinfinish was originally released with the Lingerie collection, but has since made various re-appearances in subsequent collections. The powder itself a mid-toned soft pink, with patches of pink pearl opalescence, and swirls of deep, metallic rose and copper. Depending on how much veining is present in the powder, the color can range anywhere from a soft pink to an intense rose.
By Candlelight Mineralized Skinfinish was released with Warm and Cozy, if I am not mistaken. The shade is a soft, pink tinged champagne with no visible veining or glitter particle. The overall effect is quite stunning, as the powder gives the illusion of a soft, golden peach, lit-from within aura.
Stereo Rose Mineralized Skinfinish was the most coveted of the powders in this collection, as the shade has not made an appearance since its release a number of years ago. One glance and swipe of the powder, and it’s appeal becomes apparent instantly. The matrix of baked powder appears mostly burnt salmon in pan, with visible swirls of earthy red, copper, and gold. A swatch however reveals the shades true character, and that of a stunning pink coral.

Last but not least, I have Togetherness Mineralized Eye Shadow, a trio of complimenting shades in soft lilac, mid-toned cool purple, and soft, gunmetal grey. All shades pack a good amount of pigmentation, and are thankfully very low on the glitter quotient. Of all the shades released in this collection, this was the one that yelled at me the loudest.

I was able to get my greedy pawns on stereo rose! It was sold out everywhere though and I ended up ordering on the phone. It s soo pretty!!

Luckily I could get my hands on a Stereo Rose and will get my hands on a backup of it. It is THE MSF for me and I used it every day since I have it. I must slow down though till I really have the backup at home.
