Ladies and Gents of the beauty blogosphere, there is a new nail polish making its way onto every single wishlist. This gilded beauty is hot to trot.
Every season without fail, Chanel comes out with a coveted shade of nail polish that wins hearts, creates frenzies, and ultimately sell out in a hot New York minute. This summer, that shade is Illusion D’Or
Illusion is a sea of ultra fine golden glitter with a treasure trove of blue/silver/purple sequins suspended in its depths. The polish itself is quite sheer and requires several coats to build and reach a still sheer opacity, which works for this particular shade. What makes this polish so special to me is what it does to other shades it goes on top of. Plain polishes instantly become dressed up and subtly blinged out with an elegant air of opulence that is just so Chanel.
I suspect that Illusion D’Or is woefully sold out in most venues, but you still may be able to find a bottle for your very own by calling your local boutique/counter.
