Sue Devitt- Microquatic Minerals Eye Palette in Kilimanjaro

By: Adina

Every so often, we take an in depth look into a well loved beauty brand that has recently come into my life. The next few posts here on Krasey Beauty are going to be a journey down under, into the world of Sue Devitt Cosmetics. Sit tight, and enjoy the ride, as we are in for some seriously yummy cosmetic treats.

Sue Devitt Cosmetics draws inspiration both from nature and from Sue’s travels around the globe as a highly sought after makeup artist. All of the products in her line are geniously inspired by the beauty of landscape, with the world as Sue’s muse. Naturally, the line pulls double duty in that the products are as good for your skin as they are for your look. In this case, the Microquatic Minerals Eye Palette is not only a stunning beauty of a quad, but the shadows also have the added benefit of moisturizing and enriching your lids.
There is a Russian song by Phillip Kirkorov called Kilimanjaro, that I can’t help but think of everytime I gaze upon this palette of the same name. With lyrics about heaven and a land nothing short of lush, Kirkorov sings the lush landscape that is the inspiration behind this eyeshadow quad of delicious shades of purple(!).

The four colors housed in the palette blend beautifully into one another, to create a package that is as pretty to look at in it’s compact as it is to wear. Gradating from cream, to lilac, to purple, and then to black, this quad looks a bit like a portrait of the mountain sky at night, yes? The shades are buildable, and have a subtle sparkle to them that is oh so gorgeous. They also wear incredibly well with a base.
Swatched, no base

And since one cannot live on hand swatches alone, here is a look using all 4 shades. I went soft here, but could most certainly wet and layer them for a more intense look.

And a finished eye look with the eye intensifier pencil, highlighting pencil, and Black Widow mascara,

So what do you think? Would you like to take a journey to Kilimanjaro? Stay tuned for part 2/4- the rest of the eye lineup!
