New From Sunsilk, and a Legendary Launch Event

Being the obsessed beauty fanatic, I am diligent in my pursuit of what is hot and fabulous on any given day. I wear that product junkie badge proudly, and it should come as no surprise that I get super duper excited when I see established beauty brands make their great products even better. With the future of great hair in mind, Sunsilk has collaborated with sexy super stylist Teddy Charles to co-create a brand new line of products designed to give you socialite hair at recessionista prices.

In what is only destined to be added to the scrapbook as one of the most fun beauty events thus far, Sunsilk threw one heck of a launch party where my fellow beauty bloggers and I had the opportunity to learn more about the line, meet (and promptly swoon over) Teddy himself, play with the products, receive red-carpet worthy makeovers, and have our pictures taken (wind fan and all)!

The Studio at Pier 59 in Chelsea was set up especially for the event, with hair and makeup stations complete with professionals to insure that every gal felt drop dead gorgeous, and we did!

With the amazing Brian, who gave me a Hollywood Starlet worthy blowout using Sunsilk Captivating Curls Styling Cream. Needless to say, my hair looked, felt, and smelled amazing. My blowout is still pristine, despite this New York rain/snow situation.

I had the ultimate pleasure of speaking with Teddy, who gave me a bit of background on how his hair career came to be, as well as the story behind his co-creation. A hairstylist destined to become a household name (if he isn’t one already) Teddy’s talent makes him a veritable hair genius. He does it all from backstage to editorial with a flair and finesse that most certainly sets him apart. He also happens to be an incredibly attractive model with a delectable French accent, just so you know.

Heading to the photo station post hair and makeup, Teddy stopped me and said I wasn’t quite ready yet. He then put his personal finishing touches on my do, and I turned to jello shortly thereafter.
